Generation falls for boring reasons far more often than dramatic ones. Before assuming a fault, check the following.
- Dust or bird droppings on the modules
- A new shadow from construction or a growing tree
- Seasonal variation - July and August are naturally lower
- A tripped DC or AC breaker
- One string disconnected at the DCDB
- Inverter derating due to poor ventilation
- Grid voltage outside the inverter operating window
If cleaning and a breaker check do not restore output, log a service request with your plant capacity and the inverter error code. Our team usually diagnoses the issue over the phone.
